Solution

The correct option is D 5.5 gal
Amount of juice in Jar A = 3 gal

Amount of juice in Jar B = 21 qt
1 gal = 4 qt
1qt=14 gal
21 qt=14×21
= 5.25 gal

Hence, amount of juice in Jar B = 5.25 gal

According to the question,
Amount of juice in Jar C = amount of juice in Jar A + amount of juice in Jar B
= 3 + 5.25
= 8.25 gal
Amount of juice taken out from Jar C=13 of the amount of juice in Jar C
Remaining amount of juice in Jar C=(113) of the amount of juice in Jar C

=23of the amount of juice in Jar C
=23×8.25=5.5 gal
Hence, the amount of juice remaining in Jar C is 5.5 gal.
