Step 1:Finding the perimeter of rectangular display board.
Give measure of the rectangular display board
Length $= 2 m$
Breadth $= 1.5 m$
Cost of ribbon per $m e t e r = ₹ 4$
Perimeter of rectangle $= 2 \times (l e n g h t h + b r e a d t h)$
$= 2 \times (2 + 1.5)$
$= 7 m$
Thus the length of ribbon needed for making a border around the display board $= 7 m$
Step 2 :Finding the cost to add ribbon border.
Cost of ribbon $= P e r i m e t e r \times C os t p e r m e t e r$
$= 7 \times 4$
$= ₹ 28$
Hence,the cost to add a ribbon border around a display board is $₹ 28$
