The correct option is A Rs.8000
Let the MRP of refrigerator be Rs X
according to question, (1 - 0.20)X - (1 -0.25)X = Rs 500
or, 0.05X = 500
X = 10000.
Thus, the selling price of refrigerator at 20% discount is = Rs (10000 - 2000) = Rs 8000
