Amount of salt bought = $2\times \frac{3}{4}$ kg

= $\frac{3}{2}$ kg

Amount of salt left = $(5-\frac{3}{2})$ kg

= $\frac{7}{2}$ kg

Let n number of bags be bought of $\frac{1}{2}$ kg

$n\times \frac{1}{2}kg=\frac{7}{2}kg$

$n=7$
