Solution

The correct option is A 7.5
Let the required speed of Jerry be x mi/h.

Time left to reach school after buying the book
= 30 - 6
= 24 min
= 24/60 h
= 0.4 h

Speed (x mi/h)
= Distance ÷ Time
= 3 mi ÷ 0.4h
= 7.5 mi/h

Therefore, x = 7.5
