Jimmy wants to fence his lawn on all four sides. Dimensions of his rectangular lawn is 250 feet × 110 feet. How many yards of fencing will he need to fence the lawn completely?

The correct option is A 240 yards
Given, dimensions of lawn are 250 feet ×110 feet.
Fencing will be put along the sides of lawn. Hence, required length of fencing will be equal to perimeter of rectangular lawn.


We know,
Perimter of rectangle=2(length + Width)
=2(250+110)
=2×360=720 feet

But, we have to find length of fencing in yards.
We know,
3 feet =1 yard
1 feet =13 yards
720 feet =7203=240 yards.

Hence, 240 yards of fencing is required to fence the lawn completely .
