Joan has 351 candies and 239 cookies. Master Magus has 48 fewer candies than Joan and 76 more cookies than Joan. If both Joan and Master Magus combine their cookies and candies, then by what number is the total number of candies more/fewer than the total number of cookies?

Number of cookies Joan has =239
Number of candies Master Magus has =48 fewer than Joan =35148
35148=303
Number of cookies Master Magus has =76 more than Joan = 239+76
239+76=315
Total number of candies =351+303=654
Total number of cookies =239+315=554
Difference between candies and cookies =654554=100
654 is a greater number than 554. So, there are 100 more candies than cookies.
