Joe and Zaid are flying kites.

The string of Joe's kite is 6,008 cm long and that of Zaid's kite is 7,998 cm long. Whose kite is flying higher and by how much?

Length of the string of Joe's kite = 6,008 cm
Length of string of Zaid's kite = 7,998 cm

As we can see, 7998 cm > 6008 cm.
So, Zaid's kite is flying at a greater height.

Now, subtract the two values to get the difference.


We know:
100 cm = 1 m
1990 cm = 1900 cm + 90 cm = 19 m + 90 cm

∴ Zaid's kite is flying higher by 19 m 90 cm.
