The correct option is A $4$
Let Amar join the business after $x$ months.
Then, he invested for $(12 - x)$ months.
$\Rightarrow \frac{40000 \times 12}{30000 \times (12 - x)} = \frac{16}{8}$
$\Rightarrow 12 - x = 8$
$∴ x = 4$
After $4$ months, Amar joined the business.
