The correct option is C Rs. $5000$

Let C.P $=$ Rs. $x$.

Then, cost on repairs $=10\%$ of $x=$ $\frac{x}{10}$
$\therefore$ Total cost $=$ $x+\frac{x}{10}=\frac{11x}{10}$
Now $20\%$ of $\frac{11x}{10}=11000$
$\Rightarrow \frac{20}{100}\times \frac{11x}{10}=11000\Rightarrow x=50,000$
$\therefore$ Expenditure on repairs $=10\%$ of C.P.
$=10$ $\%$ of Rs. $50,000$ $=\frac{10}{100}\times 50,000=$ Rs. $5000.$
