Given : Marked price of suit = Rs. 5000
And
John got a discount of 10% on the suit be bought .
So,
Price of suit after discount = 5000 - 10% of 5000 = 5000 - $\frac{5000\times 10}{100}$ = 5000 - 500 = Rs . 4500
And
sales tax of 10% on the price at which bought . So

John pay for suit = 4500 + 10% of 4500 = 4500 + $\frac{4500\times 10}{100}$ = 4500 + 450 = Rs. 4950 ( Ans )
