Solution

The correct option is A A = 6 ; B = 5 ; C = 14
Ratio of water to milk=1:2

The ratio 1:2 can be expressed as the fraction 12

Multiplying the numerator and the denominator by 3, we get:

12=1×32×3=36

For 3 cups of water, the corresponding amount of milk added to the coffee is 6 cups.

A=6

Similarly, multiplying the numerator and the denominator by 5, we get:

12=1×52×5=510

For 10 cups of milk, the corresponding amount of water added to the coffee is 5 cups.

B=5

Finally, multiplying the numerator and the denominator by 7, we get:

12=1×72×7=714

For 7 cups of water, the corresponding amount of milk added to the coffee is 14 cups.

C=14
