Given,
First rectangular garden: length = 17 m, width = 10 m
Second rectangular garden: length = 25 m, width = 5 m


In one round, John covers a distance equal to the perimeter of the first rectangular garden.
$=2\times (\text{length + width)}$
$=2\times \text{length}+2\times \text{width}$
$=2\times 17+2\times 10$
$=34+20$
$=54$ m

Similarly, in one round Jack covers a distance equal to the perimeter of the second rectanglular garden.
$=2\times (\text{length + width)}$
$=2\times \text{length}+2\times \text{width}$
$=2\times 25+2\times 5$
$=50+10$
$=60$ m

$\because 60>54$
$\therefore$ The perimeter of the second rectangle is greater than the first rectangle

Hence, Jack covers more distance than the John.
