Justify the following statements.
a) Two magnetic field lines never intersect each other.
b) Magnetic field lines are closed curves.

  1. Two magnetic field lines can never intersect each other, because if tangent drawn to the field lines then it will have two direction of magnetic field at the same point of intersection which is not possible, since magnetic field line have only one direction at a particular point.
  2. Magnetic field lines are continuous curves, which are originate from North pole and terminate on south pole. Inside the magnet it moves from south pole to north pole forming a closed loop. so, there is no any origination or termination point like electric field.
