Open in App
Solution

Producers:

Producers use solar energy, carbon dioxide, and chlorophyll, to produce glucose. This process is called photosynthesis. These molecules along with other nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, etc help in nourishing the plant.

Pitcher plant:

Pitcher plants possess chlorophyll and therefore absorb solar energy and carbon dioxide to make glucose. Hence, they are called producers. They grow in soil, deficient in nitrogen and phosphorus, therefore they consume insects to fulfill the requirement.
