Solution

Find the number of limes:

Given that Katie's orange tree has 30 oranges also Katie's tree has 3 times as many fruits as Lisa's

Let the number of limes on Lisa's tree is x

The mathematically the equation can be given as follows:

3x=30

Dividing both sides of the equation by 3,

x=10

Hence therefore there were 10 limes on Lisa's tree.

Out of these 10 she harvested half of them.

Therefore there are only 5 limes remaining on her tree.

Hence, the number of limes on Lisa's tree is 5.
