Solution

Ratio of shares of profit of Kavita: Vipin
2400×x:2800×(x+3)
6x:7x+21
Total profit is 48,000 Rs.
Kavita's profit is 18,000 Rs.
6x13x+21×48000=18000

6x13x+21×48=18

48x=39x+63

9x=63

x=7
Vipin invested for 7+3=10 months
