Kenneth wanted to interact more with John and Sam and hence decided to ask more about the composition of air. He asked John and Sam ' what is the exact composition of air?' Sam being the man with information took the liberty to explain him that the composition of air is not fixed everywhere and it varies from place to place but we can have a rough estimate of its composition. Sam further went ahead to make the following table.
Sam further went on to match the components in column I with the percentage by volume in column II as per the composition of air. Which of the following options are correct for the above table
(a)-(iv), (b)-(iii), (c)-(i), (d)-(ii)
Air is a mixture of gases, water vapour and dust particles. Nitrogen and oxygen are the major components of air. Nitrogen occupies 78% of the air. Oxygen occupies 21% of the air. Carbon dioxide is present in traces and is approximately 0.03 % the rest are other gases which make 0.97 % of the total air by volume.
