Solution

The correct option is A

True

Temperature is a measure of how hot or how cold something is.

Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by something because of its movement. If something moves, you can be sure it has kinetic energy.

We have found that atoms and molecules are not fixed as they seem to be. They move around quite a lot. We also found that this movement is directly linked to temperature! If they move more, we detect it as an increase in the temperature scale. If they move less, we detect it as a decrease in the scale.

So yes, kinetic energy and temperature seem to be linked. Next time when you see something hot, think about the quick random motions of atoms and molecules in there.
