Kiran has 9 rickshaws. She gives them on rent each for ₹20 a day. How much does she earn in 1 day ?
She doesn't take rent on sundays. How much does she earn in a week? ( 1+2 marks)

Solution:

Number of rickshaws Kiran has = 9
Amount of rent received from 1 rickshaw in 1 day = ₹20
Amount of rent received from 9 rickshaws in 1 day
= ₹20 × 9
= ₹180
( 1 mark)
There are 7 days in a week. As she doesn't take money on Sundays , the remaining number of days in a week = 7 - 1 = 6
(1 mark)
Total amount of rent receieved in 6 days = ₹180 × 6
= ₹1080
( 1 mark)
