Krishan bought oranges at Rs50 a dozen. He had to sell them at a loss of 4%. Find the selling price of one orange.

As it is given that Krishan bought oranges at Rs50 a dozen

Want to sell them at a loss of 4% So,

4%of50=4100×50=2Rs

So, Selling Price of one dozen of oranges in loss of 4% is Rs50-2=Rs48

As we know that, 1Dozen=12quantity

So, selling price of one orange will be 4812=4Rs

Hence Selling price isRs4
