The correct option is C Sub-metacentric
Chromosomes are classified according to the position of the centromere. If the centromere is present somewhere in between, but not exactly in middle, of the chromosome, it is called as sub-metacentric chromosomes. This imparts them “L” shaped appearance, which makes option C correct.
Acrocentric chromosomes have centromere located very near to its end. They appear as rod-shaped or “i “ shaped chromosomes. Option A is incorrect.
