Pole: The centre of reflecting surface of a spherical mirror. It is denoted by A.
Focus: The rays parallel to principal axis are converged at focus by a concave mirror or appear to come from the focus of a convex mirror. Since the given mirror is concave, the focus is denoted by B.
Centre of curvature: The centre of the sphere of which the reflecting surface is a part of. It is denoted by C.
Principal axis: A line passing through pole and centre of curvature. It is denoted by D in the given figure.
