Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption Isotherm models are from different assumptions like the former from monolayer and the second multilayer. A continuous monolayer of adsorbate molecules surrounding a homogeneous solid surface is the conceptual basis for the Langmuir isotherm adsorption model. Freundlich adsorption isotherm, an adsorption isotherm, is an empirical relation between the concentration of a solute on the surface of an adsorbent to the concentration of the solute in the liquid with which it is in contact.
