Large scale deforestation leads to the decrease in the amount of gas A in the atmosphere whereas the amount of gas B increases.   • Deforestation increases the level of Carbon Dioxide (B) and decreases the level of Oxygen (A) in the atmosphere by reducing the rate of photosynthesis.​

  • Carbon dioxide gas traps the sun's heat rays reflected by the earth, causing greenhouse effect (C). ​

  • The gradual increase in the over-all temperature of earth's atmosphere due to greenhouse effect is called global warming (D).​
