Assume that Earning = 10000
Amount saved = 10% of 10,000 = $\frac{10}{100} \times 10, 000$ = Rs 1000.
This year :
Earning = 5% of increased the previous year
$= 10, 000 + 500 = R s . 10, 500$
12% saving = $10500 \times \frac{12}{100} = R s 1260$
% of amount saved = $\frac{1260}{1000} \times 100 = 126$ %
