Solution

The correct option is C Rubber tree

  • Natural latex is produced by Hevea brasiliensis which is also known as rubber tree.
  • Latex is a stable dispersion of polymer microparticles in an aqueous medium and is produced by 20,000 species from over 40 families. Rubber was given its present English name by the British chemist Joseph Priestley in about 1770. It is a cloudy white liquid, similar in appearance to cow milk. It is collected by cutting a thin strip of bark from the tree and allowing the latex to flow into a collecting vessel over a period of hours.
