Solution

The correct option is B Cortex
Laticiferous vessels are the specialized thin walled parenchymatous cells that secrete latex and are found in the cortex. They lack pits and are composed of cellulose and hemicelluloses and serve to secrete latex. A row of cells in meristems grow parallel and form articulated latex ducts which are brown in color and are formed by the fusion of several cells. The non-articulate latex duct, also termed as latex cells, are the independent units and simple cells which originate as a minute structure and exhibit quick elongation and ramification by repeated branching.
Phloem tissues are composed of four elements namely, sieve elements, companion cell, phloem fibers and phloem parenchyma and serve in translocation of organic nutrients.
Xylem tissues include tracheids, vessels, fibers, and parenchyma and serve in an ascent of sap.
So, the correct answer is option is C.
