Question

_____________ law gives the direction of induced current.

Open in App
Solution

  1. The law of electromagnetic induction was given by Faraday, which states that “Whenever there is a change in the magnetic flux linked with the coil changes, induced emf is produced”
  2. The direction of this induced emf is given by Lenz's law which states that “The induced emf so produced always opposes the cause producing it”.
  3. This means that the magnetic field created with this induced emf will always be in the direction opposite to the originally created magnetic field.

Hence, Lenz's law gives the direction of induced current.
