Lead pipes for supplying the drinking water are not safe. The lead concentration in drinking water should be below ETA level of 15 ppm. If we will use lead pipes, it will increase the lead concentration above critical level, hence, should not be used. Use of lead pipes were banned in year 1970 due to safety purposes.
