"Leaves of Bryophyllum fallen on ground produce new plants whereas leaves of Jasmine do not". Why ?

Bryophyllum reproduces asexually via vegetative propagation of leaves. The leaves of bryophyllum have buds which when fall on ground and come in contact with soil produces plantlets. The leaf buds of bryophyllum are capable of producing adventitious roots and therefore producing new organism. The leaves of jasmine do not possess buds and therefore cannot produce new plants on falling down.
