Since, LHS $\Rightarrow (- 5) - (- 4) - (- 1) = (- 5) + 4 + 1$
$= (- 5) + 5 \Rightarrow 0$
and RHS $\Rightarrow (- 4) - (- 5) - 1 = (- 4) + 5 - 1$
$= (- 5) + 5 \Rightarrow 0$
So, LHS $=$ RHS
Hence, $(- 5) - (- 4) - (- 1)$ is equal to $(- 4) - (- 5) - 1$ .
