Solution

The energy required to ionize 1 mole of Cs atoms is 376 KJ.
The energy required to form 1 Cs+ ion =376×1036.02×1023

=6.24×1019

Total energy =1 J
Number of Cs+ ions produced by 1 J energy = 16.24×1019

=1.6×1018=x×1017

=x=16

Hence, the value of x is 16.
