Lenticels are small pores present on the surface of the stems and roots that allow the interchange of gases between active interior tissue and the surrounding air or pockets of air in the soil.
Similarly, Spiracles are small pores present in the body of insects. It is an external respiratory opening. Air comes via spiracles and goes to invertebrate trachea thus allows the gaseous exchange.
