Lenz's law states that the current induced in a circuit due to a change or a motion in a magnetic field is so directed as to oppose the change in flux and to do so, a mechanical force is exerted to oppose the motion. Hence the extra work is also required to be done to counter this opposition which appears as emf produced. So work done against force is appearing as the emf, and the net energy is being conserved.
