Solution

The correct option is A Independent but not equally likely
Given that, P(¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯AB)=16, P(AB)=14, P(¯¯¯¯A)=14

P(¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯AB)=16
1P(AB)=16
[1P(A)]P(B)+P(AB)=16

P(¯¯¯¯A)P(B)+P(AB)=16
14P(B)+14=16
P(B)=2416

P(B)=13
and P(A)=1P(¯¯¯¯A)=114=34

Since, P(AB)=P(A)P(B), so the events A and B are independent events but not equal likely.
