Question

Let A and B be two sets such that A×B consists of 6 elements. If three elements of A×B are (1,4), (2,6), (3, 6), find A×B and B×A.

From the given ordered pair of A×B we conclude that
A= {1, 2, 3}, B={4, 6}
Since A×B has six elements i.e. 3×2 and hence A and B are as stated above.
A×B ={(1,4), (1, 6), (2, 4), (2, 6), (3,4), (3, 6)}
By reserving the above ordered pairs, we get
B×A = { (4, 1), (6, 1), (4, 2), (6, 2), (4, 3), (6, 3)}.
