Solution

The correct option is C AATATA
A. Let Q=AAT.
Then, QT=(AAT)T=AT(AT)T[(A+B)T=AT+BT]
QT=ATA
QT=(AAT)=Q
Therefore, Q is skew-symmetric.
B. similarly ATA is skew symmetric matrix.
C. Let Q=AATATA
Then QT=(AATATA)T=(AAT)T(ATA)T=AATATA=Q
Hence Q is symmetric matrix.
D. Here given A is skew symmetric matrix A=AT
A+AT=0 Hence A+AT is skew symmetric matrix. since zero matrix is skew symmetric matrix as well as symmetric matrix.
Hence option 'C' is the correct choice.
