Open in App
Solution

Start by finding (fog)(x)
To find this function, substitute x=4x1 That is g(x) into f(x)
(fg)(x)=(4x1)22(4x1)+5
=16(x1)28x1+5
Now substitute x=3
(fg)(3)=16(31)2831+5
=16482+5=44+5=5.
