Solution

The correct option is A True

It is given that P=1,-1,

Q=x:x2=4,x,

R=-2,-1,1

P=1,-1

Number of elements in set P is nP=2

The Roster form of the set Q=x:x2=4,x is given below

x2=4,x

x2-4=0

x-2x+2=0

x=2or x=-2

Q=2,-2

Number of elements in set Q is nQ=2

R=-2,-1,1

Number of elements in the set R is given below

nR=2

For any two equivalent sets number of elements in the sets must be equal.

nP=2 and nQ=2 therefore the number of elements in sets P and Q are equal.

Hence, the given statement PQ is true.
