Solution

The correct option is B False

It is given that P=1,-1,

Q=x:x2=4,xz,

R=-2,-1,1

Number of elements in set P is given below

nP=2

The Roster form of the set Q=x:x2=4,x is given below

x2=4,x

x2-4=0

x-2x+2=0

x=2or x=-2

Q=2,-2

P=1,-1

R=-2,-1,1

nP=2, nQ=2 ,nR=3

Two sets are said to be equivalent iff number of elements in the two sets are equal.

In the sets P and R number of elements are not equal.

Hence, the given statement PR is false.
