We know that the remainder when a polynomial p(x) is divided by (xa) is p(a).
Given that,
p(x)=x43x2+2x+5
Divisor =(x1)
So, The Remainder =p(1)
=(1)43(1)2+2(1)+5
=13+2+5
=5
