Differentiating both sides w.r.t x
dydx=11(1x21+x2)2ddx(1x21+x2)
=1+x2(1+x2)2(1x2)2[(1+x2)(2x)(1x2)(2x)(1+x2)2]
=1(1+x21+x2)(1+x21x2)[2x(1+x2+1x2)(1+x2)2]
=2x×22x2×2(1+x2)
=4x2x(1+x2)=2(1+x2)
