  1. Out of lever, inclined plane, screw, wedge, pulley, wheel and axle an inclined plane is a simple machine that does not move while doing work.
  2. An inclined plane is nothing but a slope over which a load can be pushed up.
  3. For example, a ramp is an inclined plane that is used in hospitals so that wheelchairs carrying patients can be pushed easily.
  4. Therefore an inclined plane reduces the effort needed to lift the objects therefore it acts as a force multiplier.
