The Leydig cells or interstitial cells, which are present in the interstitial spaces of testis produce a group of hormones called androgens mainly testosterone.

Estrogen is secreted by growing follicles in ovaries and stimulates growth and development of female secondary sex organs.

Aldosterone is secreted by adrenal gland helps in maintaining electrolytes in the body fluid, volume, osmotic pressure and blood pressure.

Gonadotropins are secreted by anterior pitvitary Fend and stimulate the gonadal activity. Those include LH and FSH.
