Life would be impossible without plants. Explain.

Open in App
Solution

The survival of almost all living organisms directly or indirectly depends upon the food made by the plants.

1. As herbivores depend on plants and carnivores depend on these herbivores for food. Omnivores depend on both animals and plants. Green plants prepare food through the process of photosynthesis and utilize it, and store it for herbivores.

2. Green plants prepare food through the process of photosynthesis. As the result of photosynthesis, Oxygen gas is released as the byproduct. This oxygen is utilized by living organisms in respiration. The life of living can't be imagined without oxygen.

3. Carbon dioxide gas is released by living organisms and from factories. This Carbon dioxide is used by the plants in photosynthesis and cleaning the environment.

4. Trees are the shelter for many organisms like birds, squirrels, etc.

Thus, we can say that life would be impossible on the earth without plants.
