Let t be the distance between points S and P1
Optical path length traveled by light via
SP2=μt+μ(X0)+μ2(2X0)=μ(t+2X0)
Optical path traveled by light via
SP1=μt
Path difference between points P1 and P2,
Δx=SP2SP1=2μX0
Now, phase difference,
ϕ=Δx×2πλ=2μX0×2πλ=4πμX0λ
But given the phase difference is
kπμX0λ.
Hence, K=4
