The correct option is B. 1 mm

We know that, fringe width β=(Dλ2d)

Here the distance between two dark fringes in equal to the separation between the slit, i.e.,
2d=Dλ2d

or d2=λD4

or d=λD4
Or d=(5.0×107×2.04)12=0.5×103m=0.5 mm.

Therefore the separation between the slits is 2d = 1 mm.
