Growth:
Light influences the directional growth in plants either towards the light source or away from the source of light. Based on the response towards sunlight, growth in plants may exhibit positive or negative phototropism.
Flowering:
The duration of exposure to light influences flowering in plants. This physiological response is termed as photoperiodism.
