Given,
Speed ( from A to B ) =60 mile/hour
Speed ( from B to C ) =60+0.5(60)=60+30=90 mile/hr
(Speed is increased by 50% ).

Distance=Speed×Time

Distance from A to B = 60×3=180 miles.

Distance from B to C=90×2=180 miles

Total ditance travelled =180+180=360 miles

Total time taken =3+2=5 hr

Average speed=Total distanceTotal time

=3605 =72 miles/hr
